Caribou Highlands Lodge Lutsen, Lutsen

Caribou Highlands Lodge is a wonderful spot for both summer hikes and winter skiing adventures. The accommodations are clean and comfortable, with great amenities and friendly staff. While some areas could use a little updating, the overall experience is worth it. The on-site restaurant and bar offer excellent food, although the indoor pool shows signs of wear and tear. Overall, it’s a fantastic value for a North Shore getaway.

Our stay at Caribou Highlands was delightful, right in the heart of winter beauty with breathtaking views of Lake Superior and excellent access to skiing. The accommodations were comfortable and spacious, perfect for our large family, though we did find that the room sizes could be a bit snug. The activities offered were fantastic, particularly the free evening s'mores and the educational seminars. Overall, this place truly made for an exciting family vacation with loads of fun options, despite a couple of minor inconveniences.

My friends and I have been visiting for years, enjoying the ski-in/ski-out convenience. This time, the accommodations were clean and spacious, but the closure of the external hot tub and absence of shuttle services really impacted our stay. We faced long lines after one ski lift closed, so while the townhome was great, some key amenities and services were lacking, leading us to consider other options for our next trip.

I recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at Caribou Highlands, where the location is superb and the rooms were very comfortable. Our unit was updated, and the kitchen made cooking a breeze. The service was exceptional, especially during the blizzard! The only downside was some cleanliness issues that need addressing, but overall, it was a great value for the price.

However, I did encounter some hiccups, like the limited availability of pool towels and the need to take out our trash ourselves. Additionally, while the rooms were comfortable, I felt they could use some updates given the price we paid.
